ADAC Airports

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) is the owner and operator of five airports: Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Ain International Airport, Al Bateen Executive Airport, Delma Island and Sir Bani Yas Island Airports; as well as two check-in facilities in the city of Abu Dhabi: The City Terminal in the Tourist Club, and the Expo Terminal in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company (ADNEC).

    Operating since 31 March 1994, Al Ain International Airport is Abu Dhabi’s second airport. It is located 18km northwest of Al Ain City. it will be home to an Aerospace Cluster jointly developed by Mubadala and ADAC and that aims to be globally recognised as a centre of excellence for technology and innovation.

    Al Bateen Executive Airport

    Al Bateen Executive Airport is the first dedicated private jet airport in the Middle East and North Africa regions (MENA). The airport originally came into use in the 1960’s as the first main airport in the capital city, until Abu Dhabi International Airport was opened in 1982. In 1983, Al Bateen was transformed into a military air base until the end of 2008, when ADAC took over the management of the airport’s operations and turned it into a world-class executive airport.

    Delma Airport plays a vital role in the development of the island, linking its local community, which consists of 6000 people, to the UAE by providing convenient high quality transport infrastructure. Operating since 15 December 2008, Sir Bani Yas Airport caters mainly to tourists visiting the Natural Island. It is located 250km southwest of Abu Dhabi coast in the Western Region.
