Abu Dhabi Duty Free (ADDF)
Established in 1984, Abu Dhabi Duty Free is the subsidiary responsible for the operation of the retail, food and beverage and services concessions under the Abu Dhabi Duty Free brand within Abu Dhabi Airports.
What began in 1984, with only five retail units, Abu Dhabi Duty Free now boasts an annual revenue of AED809 million (2012) in excess of 8,000 sqm of retail space and 124 retail and food and beverage outlets in Abu Dhabi International Airport alone. Our growth does not stop there. We are currently investing in one of the world’s most ambitious airport development projects with the construction of the Midfield Terminal Complex. This already award winning state-of-the-art terminal will cater for 27-30 million passengers annually and house over 28,000sqm of retail and F&B outlets.
As part of our strategic growth, in 2008 Abu Dhabi Airports and Abu Dhabi Duty Free appointed DFS (part of the Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton Group - LVMH - the world’s leading luxury retailer) as major concessionaire within Abu Dhabi International Airport alongside several other well-renowned local retailers. With the opening of Terminal 3 in 2009, Abu Dhabi Duty Free has developed a ‘Trinity’ relationship alongside our concessions with ongoing training, weekly concessionaire reviews, bold marketing initiatives and customer service quality programmes.
Within the spirit of Arabian Hospitality, Abu Dhabi Duty Free provides a range of sophisticated, top-quality and tailored services for our passengers arriving, transferring or departing from our airports. With our state-of-the-art airport parking, 30 room Airport Hotel, luxurious lounges and Golden Class – our dedicated ‘meet and assist’ service – we aim to provide our customers with the best travel experience and are continuously seeking new services and offerings for our customers.
Since 2006 Abu Dhabi Airports has been receiving numerous prestigious awards from prominent international and local organizations in acknowledgement of its operational excellence, as well as marketing, training and corporate responsibility initiatives.
