Abu Dhabi Duty Free (ADDF)
Established in 1984, ADDF is the subsidiary responsible for the operation of the duty-free (including DFS, the world’s leading luxury travel retailer) and food and beverage concessions under the Shop-Dine-Unwind brand within ADAC’s airports.
Abu Dhabi Duty Free is proud to have spearheaded a unique approach to travel retail within our airports with the exciting launch of ‘Shop-Dine-Unwind’ in 2010. Focusing on the diverse audiences that travel through the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Shop-Dine-Unwind is the logical progression underpinning the ambition at ADAC to create a truly unique airport environment for our passengers, from exclusive retail offerings (including the world’s first stand-alone Jimmy Choo store), world-renowned food and beverage outlets and luxurious airport lounges – for all to enjoy. What began as the ADDF brand in 1984 with only five retail units, Shop-Dine-Unwind now boasts an annual revenue of AED582 million in excess of 8,000 sqm of retail space and 124 retail and food and beverage outlets in Abu Dhabi International Airport alone. Our growth does not stop there. We are currently investing in one of the world’s most ambitious airport development projects with the construction of the Midfield Terminal Complex. This already award winning state-of-the-art terminal will cater for 27-30 million passengers annually and house over 25,000sqm of retail and F&B outlets. As part of our strategic growth, in 2008 ADAC and ADDF appointed DFS (part of the Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton Group - LVMH - the world’s leading luxury retailer) as major concessionaire within Abu Dhabi International Airport alongside several other well-renowned local retailers. With the opening of Terminal 3 in 2009, ADDF has developed a fervent ‘Trinity’ relationship alongside our concessions with ongoing training, weekly concessionaire reviews, bold marketing initiatives and customer service quality programmes and as such, Shop-Dine-Unwind is living up to its promise in redefining the airport experience.
