Gulf Center for Aviation Studies (GCAS)
GCAS is an ICAO-recognised centre of excellence and GCAA-certified training facility created with the vision to become the leading provider of aviation training in the Middle East and beyond. Offering unique partnerships with leading international organisations, GCAS is one of the few aviation training centres in the world located in an operational airport.
GCAS was established in 2009 with a vision to become the leading provider of aviation training in the Middle East and to provide the region with cost-effective training solutions to address the challenges confronting the 21st century aviation industry.
GCAS is recognised by the International Council of Airports Operations (ICAO) and is certified as a training facility by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). GCAS is also the exclusive training provider for the Joint Aviation Authorities of Europe Training Organisation (JAATO) in the gulf and Middle East regions, and one of the Airport Council International’s (ACI) 10 global training hubs.
In partnership with these authoritative organisations, GCAS promotes international best practices in safety and security, and all areas of airport operation through a wide range of internationally endorsed courses and in-house-designed curriculum tailored to the region’s requirements in developing the aviation industry.
GCAS has its own dedicated facilities at Al Bateen Executive Airport in Abu Dhabi. It’s one of the few aviation training centres in the world located in an operational airport, thus enhancing the educational experience.
The modern facilities include 11 training rooms, three conference and lecture rooms, high-speed internet coverage (Wi-Fi), a business centre, library, resident and visiting trainer, lecturer offices, and catering facilities.
