Overview

The construction of the Midfield Terminal Complex (MTC), the new gateway to Abu Dhabi, is currently ongoing in order to accommodate the anticipated 30 million annual passengers by 2017.

During this phase, Abu Dhabi International Airport’s current focus is the development of the infrastructure network including roads, utilities and delivering the Capacity Enhancement Programme (CEP), the scope of which includes upgrading works to our existing terminals to accommodate the rapidly increasing passenger demand and enhance the customer experience before the MTC is completed.

Abu Dhabi International Airport has witnessed the completion of several key infrastructure projects over the past five years. In parallel, new projects are being planned or completed during this challenging interim development period.
