Watch this roundup of fantastic progress of projects at Abu Dhabi International Airport in November

2014 has been a busy year for developments at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Alongside the construction of the new Midfield Terminal Building, extensive work has also been ongoing to renovate the southern runway and to construct a midfield airside road tunnel. Abu Dhabi International Airport’s southern runway has seen intensive work since it was closed in February 2014 to be widened and extended to allow Etihad’s new A380 aircraft to land and takeoff at the airport. The midfield airside road tunnel will connect the midfield terminal building to Terminals 1 and 3 to ensure that the entire airport operates efficiently at full capacity. The new tunnel will stretch over 720 metres in length and will be between 38 and 46 metres in width.
