The program of activities consisted of a two-day exhibition dedicated to promoting airside safety, occupational health and environmental protection in the workplace.

The future Automated Passenger Mobility System

The MTB is being built to cater for 30 million passengers annually. The traffic at AUH is expected to exceed 40 million passengers by 2020. Abu Dhabi Airports has already started planning for the next phase of infrastructure development and expansion to accommodate this anticipated traffic, and part of these plans is the Automated Passenger Mobility System (APM) that will connect passengers from the MTB to future terminal buildings beyond 2017. Watch this video to witness the progress in the construction of the tunnel that will host the APM under the MTB’s airfield and apron.
