Sir Bani Yas Island: Serving the Desert Island Resorts

• Sir Bani Yas Island is located 250kms south-west of the capital and it lies 9km off shore and is 87km2

Delma Island Airport

Delma Island is located at about 160km west of Abu Dhabi, and is about 10km from north to south and 5km from east to west.

Sir Bani Yas Island Airport

Under a partnership agreement between the Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) and ADAC, the island's airport is being upgraded to be a fully certified airport capable of receiving domestic and short-haul international commercial flights. ADAC is also investing in an ambitious expansion project to redevelop the airport’s terminal and a seaplane and boat terminal, turning them into state-of-the-art facilities.

Today, daily flights served through TDIC’s two Cessna Caravan aircraft link the island to Abu Dhabi. The flight time to the island takes approximately 45 minutes.
